The Midwife’s Little Miracle

Tiny baby: father needed!
Finding she was pregnant was the best moment of midwife Montana’s life. But days later she was widowed. Now nine months have passed, she has a tiny infant, and she knows it’s time to make a fresh start.
Dr Andy Buchanan has offered Montana a job at Lyrebird Lake because it’s the perfect place to build a new life. Her courage impresses him. And he just can’t get the beautiful new mum out of his mind…
Every time Montana sees her baby in Andy’s arms her resolve not to get involved crumbles. He’s the perfect father. And he makes Montana’s life feel complete once again…
Lyrebird Lake Maternity
Every day brings a miracle…

Lyrebird Lake Book 1

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

THE MIDWIFE’S LITTLE MIRACLE is out in the UK and it feels like the end of a long pregnancy with my new baby safely arrived.

Truly a lovely Christmas present for me.

Montana, my heroine, is the big sister I never had. She’s courageous, wounded but not a victim, and the most wonderful midwife with a vision.

Andy is everything I think heroic in a man, a rescuer, tender with babies, and he knows exactly how to treat a woman the way she deserves – with TLC and respect - he just needs to learn that he deserves the same treatment.
The winner is the township of Lyrebird Lake, the magic place these two special people find healing and love, and the home of the new midwifery birth centre you’ll come to hear more of this year. Check out my last post “Lyrebird Lake is Coming!” for more details.

To celebrate the birth of The Lyrebird Lake series, I’m giving away a copy of THE MIDWIFE’S LITTLE MIRACLE
at the end of December and the end of January. I’d love to hear suggestions on what to name our next baby to be born at Lyrebird Lake. That story is still an embryo but coming, because I’ve been side-tracked by an outback roadtrip birth with a difference. More on my latest work in progress next month.

Keep well, keep happy and my warmest wishes for the peace and joy I seem to find at Christmas and the new beginnings of 2009. I’ll leave you with a photo. My happy granddaughter, Sophie. “All I want for Christmas is my new front tooth.”
